Quzhou Ouster Hydraulic Co.,Ltd
Ouster Hydraulic mainly produce hydraulic pump, motor and parts, with more than 15 years export experience, here is the knowledge about hydraulic pump installation.
Proper installation and operation are critical to maximizing hydraulic pump performance and service life. Following established best practices helps prevent system failures and reduces maintenance costs.
Installation Guidelines:
Mount the pump on a rigid, flat surface to prevent misalignment and vibration. Ensure the drive shaft coupling is accurately aligned—within 0.05 mm tolerance—and never use rigid couplings. All piping must be clean and free of contaminants. Suction lines should be short, direct, and adequately sized to prevent cavitation. Use only scheduled or carbon steel pipes; avoid galvanized materials.
Contamination Control:
System cleanliness is paramount. Flush all lines before connection and maintain oil cleanliness to ISO 4406 Class 18/16/13 or better. Install return line filters and monitor pressure differentials regularly.
Start-Up Procedure:
Fill the pump housing with clean fluid prior to start-up. Run at no-load pressure initially to purge air from the system. Check rotation direction, listen for unusual noise, and verify pressure readings gradually.
Operational Practices:
Maintain fluid temperature between 30°C and 55°C. Monitor viscosity and change filters according to schedule. Avoid continuous operation at maximum pressure. Train operators to recognize early warning signs such as noise, heat, or pressure drops.
Adhering to these principles ensures reliable hydraulic system performance and maximizes equipment return on investment.
